It’s that time of year again—when the blooms begin to fade, the petals dry, and something quietly magical starts to take shape in the studio and also across the Hudson Valley.

Over the last few years, I’ve found deep joy in growing flowers, carefully drying them, and transforming them into lasting works of art. What started as a simple creative experiment with familiar blooms like geraniums and daisies has grown into a more thoughtful practice.

These days, I love taking hikes through the Hudson Valley, discovering native varieties like goldenrod, heather, and wild grasses, each with its own story and texture. Bringing these natural elements into my work not only celebrates the beauty around me—it anchors each piece in the place it was made.

I've expanded these collages to include bees, dragonflies, and other natural treasures—anything I can preserve and thoughtfully incorporate. My sister even gave me a box of found "treasures" to incorporate. Every piece I create is a small tribute to the life around us and the changing seasons.
