Abstract paintings on paper

My foundation series of paintings on paper and canvas is really about stepping back, exploring the foundational elements of painting and structure and color and building that unified visual language to use throughout the work so this really marks departure for me and a abstract when I really focused on figurative portrait and drawings from life for a very long time Painting are both small studies and larger works exploring the same concepts with different mediums and brushstrokes and textures and what does it really strips out the recognition form the recognition of story and it adds in a very clear element of movement and momentum to the work.
